why my mom is awesome:

I got a card from her today, a singing card, with Lucy and Ethel on the front and the song "Friendship" on the inside. Wishing me a happy un-birthday (the "un" portion, of course, being written in by hand) and telling me how much she values my friendship and believes in me. And there was also a $20 bill slipped in there, with a note telling me to treat myself to some good coffee or a nice glass of wine.

Hence, my mother rules.
